UVSC Session Report
April 22, 2019 (Session #224)
(authored by BJ)

Ellen, Margaret, Marsha and myself were this week's club constituents.
Ellen dispensed with me handily in her first game, and also took on the
challenge of playing two simultaneous games when I had to run out on an
errand. But Margaret led the way in the win/loss category with a
perfect 2-0 showing, and Marsha scored the high non-bingo play with a
perfectly placed ZED for 74 points. Other nicely scoring non-bingos
that went down were WINDY (for 63 by me), ZERK (for 51 by Ellen) and
OXIDE (for 60 by Ellen).

Our bingo list included TARGETS, PARENTED, GLASSED, VAINEST, REROUTED,
SOLVENT, BROMIDE, TRIBUNAL, ABRIDGE, DISPOSER, LOOSENS, and UNSOUND.
Most of these are pretty ordinary words, but BROMIDE has always been
interesting to me because it has not only a chemical meaning (a compound
often used in sedatives), but also can mean a boring person or an
overused expression.
