UVSC Session Report
February 4, 2019 (Session #214)
(authored by BJ)

Six attendees played twelve total games this week. Iliana staged
another last-play comeback, erasing an 89-point deficit by playing
STEWPAN, hooking the S to make INTERNALS as well. Many adjectives such
as INTERNAL also function as nouns. Other adjectives, such as DOGMATIC,
do not function as nouns, but still take an S back hook. In fact,
DOGMATIC was on the board in one of the games this week, and ended just
shy of a triple word score, but neither player (me being one of them)
considered that DOGMATICS would be valid, but in fact it is, defined as
a branch of theology dealing with religious doctrines. Big opportunity
missed!

Our bingos this week also included VIATORS (a VIATOR is a traveller),
MATCHING, RAVINGS, SHRIEKS, SAETERS# (a SAETER# is an upland meadow),
VOIDERS, RECLINER, OPENERS, ALLERGIC, SEMINAL, STERNLY, SLACKEST (most
slack), PETERING, COINAGES, SLIVERS, FATHERED, and TRACTION.
