UVSC Session Report
August 6, 2018 (Session #191)
(authored by BJ)

You know how sometimes you can tell immediately when someone is starting
to play a bingo? Well I got that feeling not long into a game with
Ellen when she put down her first letter, an S. She followed it with a
T, then R, U, M, blank ("P", she called out), E, T, and S. Hold on a
second, something's fishy there ... that's 8 tiles! I noticed the funny
business as she was adding up her score, and we stopped the clock and
resolved the overdraw. Because she hadn't actually completed a turn
illegally, she was able to resume with the correct number of tiles. It
turns out she was able to find a bingo anyway, this time playing
SMUTTIER through an I and maintaining the adult theme -- funny!

Johanna joined us again and had a strong 2-0 night, the best record of
the evening. Among her plays was a 9-letter bingo, RELENTING, extending
RE. It was a fairly quiet night, just Iliana, myself, Ellen and
Johanna, none of us staying terribly late. Here are our valid bingo
words from eight total games: OVERWISE, OUTNAME#, RECLINED, IRONIES,
SMUTTIER, STANCES, EARNERS, FINALISE, RELENTING, STERANE, INVENTED,
AUTARCH, VISIONS, SHINILY, REJOICES, EASTLIN#, RAINCOAT, OVEREAT,
WOOLERS, CATTIER, ANDIRON, BOATERS, REMINTS, GRATINEE, TAURINE, THEISTS.
