UVSC Session Report
July 2, 2018 (Session #187)
(authored by BJ)

David, Iliana, Margaret and I played 11 games, and I led the way in a
dubious category: phony bingos. In my defense, of the five that I
played (out of 8 games), two of them were valid CSW-only words played in
TWL games and the other three were--so I claim--reasonable guesses.
However, I really should know by now that the comparative of "senile" is
"more senile", and the playable words from the unmentioned phony are
LIERNES and RELINES. And I mean, if you were looking for an 8-letter
word starting with OVER- with ?ING as the other four tiles, wouldn't you
think there are a few plausible words there?

In more respectable categories, David crushed my hopes of a comeback
when he played the night's high non-bingo ZEDA for 72, and Iliana made
us giggle using a blank to play JIZZ for 57. In the humorous-bingos-
when-read-together category, Margaret wins the prize for
JAUNTIER ORIFICES in her victory against me.

The rest of our (valid!) bingos were: WRISTER, PLEASER, SEEPING,
GAINLESS, RATTILY, SOOTING, EARLIKE, ORBITED, HEADLESS, NASTIER,
RADIOES, FACTIONS, ROTARIES, GRAFTER, DRAFTEES, ANAEMIA, RETAKES,
STRINGS, PROLINE, PETIOLE, ROUSING, STAPLES, WINTERED, ENCODERS,
ARENOUS, and PAIRING.

Below is the board from the TWL game between Margaret and myself.
Ignore my phony bingo.
