UVSC Session Report
October 30, 2017 (Session #154)
(authored by BJ)

Mike F. paid us a surprise visit today and along with Ellen, Iliana and
myself, we played a total of 11 games. You can always expect some
unusual words to come out when Mike's around, and in this case the word
TELEDU was one that stands out for me. I had once seen it many years ago
as TELEDUS and argued briefly with someone about whether it was the
singular version of "teledi" (it's not) or plural of TELEDU. That was
resolved, and it turns out that a teledu is a creature similar to a
badger, but which also can spray like a skunk. It is native to the
islands of Java and Sumatra.

Other bingos that made their way onto the boards: INEARTHS, QUIETING,
OUTEATS, EVOLUTED#, ARENITE, LEGATORS, VIRAGOES, SDAINED#, EQUATES,
SAVANTES#, ENEMATA, ARROYOS, RANCIDER, TARSIERS, JESSING, SALUTER,
AGGRIEVE, DIRNDLS (second week in a row for that 1-vowel bingo!),
RABIDEST#, and SONNIES.
