UVSC Session Report
October 23, 2017 (Session #153)
(authored by BJ)

Iliana, Ellen and I really packed in the games this week, with Ellen
playing two more than she ever has before in one session (7). Iliana
played 6, and I 9, and we even stopped two hours short of our typical
late-night end time! :) I also used my newly decorated rack today, which
was colored by Adelie after I told her how I've had two of my racks get
mistakenly (I presume) taken by others. No longer will anyone
accidentally grab my tile rack! (See photo.)

Some interesting questions came up based on challenges and/or
phonies. For example, what (TWL) adjective means "capable of flying" and
starts with a V? I got away with a phony similar to that one. What -CAST
words have acceptable past tenses ending in -CASTED? (What about CAST
itself?) What are the acceptable plurals of GRINGO? How about ERINGO?
Are there any multi-letter front extensions to WIVING? Does MILLING take
an S? Think about it while I list some of our bingos:

FLEETEST, EDACITY, GORDITAS, DIRNDLS, TONELESS, COROLLA, SIERRAN,
STEARIC, FALSIES, REPRIEVE, BINDLES, LINTERS, ALUNITE, SPEEDED,
PREFACED, HOLISTIC, LOITERER, DOGTAILS, LYSINES.

3. only GRINGOS is valid
4. ERINGOS and ERINGOES are both valid (similarly for ERYNGO)
5. MIDWIVING (Iliana came close to playing it!) and in CSW, also UNWIVING#
